“Up there in the stars or in the oncoming cars, locked in a gravitational pull”

– Being Through

“...it's in the detail, hun. Like the stories and taxes, your mortgage and your mattress and the battles yet to be won.”

– Battles to Be Won

“We gave up on God a long time ago, yet the good lord knows you can’t always trust a leader.”

– Miss America

“Two parts make a whole and a hole can be dug, just as easy as the wheels came off…”

– Happy Landings

"Trapped on crowded subways cars and in midtown office jobs made me feel like I was dying a little more each and every day."

– No Place

“It’s just too damn true, one can get used to being blue. But it’s hard to get used to being through.”

– Being Through

“…keeping the rich rich and damn the poor... what are you made of Miss America, will you and I get into heaven?”

– Miss America

“Tonight, I’m setting sail on a boat called shipwreck. It’s a tinderbox of lost and found.”

– The One That Counts

About Reid Andrés

Reid Andrés (also performing as RC Andrés) is a singer-songwriter raised on a healthy diet of folk, world, and country music. A drummer and percussionist from an early age, he played in jazz ensembles in PA and studied traditional music and percussion in Ghana and Western Samoa. After years of playing percussion with a variety of Latin, Brazilian, and Spanish groups in New York City, Reid Andrés turned to guitar and Americana- and Country-inspired songs to tell stories his own way.  With a rich voice, ironic storytelling, and an eye for that killer lyrical detail that makes a song stick with you, Andrés carves out a unique niche.

Distilled, his first collection of songs, was released in 2019.

About Distilled, the album

Teaming up with renowned producer and bassist Ben Zwerin, together Andrés and Zwerin drew on a roster of deeply talented musicians and friends to bring the collection of songs to life.

Reid Andrés composed the original songs and is featured on lead vocals and guitar.  He also plays percussion and harmonica on the album. Ben Zwerin, producer, arranger, and recording engineer, is featured on bass, additional instruments and background vocals.

The songs of Distilled were first performed in California and Europe during the summer of 2018.
